Susan’s upbeat and enthusiastic personality is an invaluable trait when showing homes, which she has done with remarkable success since 1986. Susan grew up in a military family and has lived in Germany, Ecuador and Chile, as well as in cities across the U.S. She graduated from the University of Kansas and spent her junior year at the University of Madrid. Susan is fluent in Spanish.
She and her husband are avid runners, with each having completed over 20 marathons. They also enjoy “adventure” travel, having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and spent several weeks trekking in the Himalayas.

Professional Experience:
Prior to his real estate career, Joe was VP of Information Technology at Washington Mortgage Group for seven years and a Project Manager at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for ten years, where he directed several key efforts for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His strong organizational and project management skills made for a smooth and successful transition into real estate.
Over the past eight years, Joe has assisted many wonderful clients and worked with the best real estate partners in the capital region. Although the local housing market has experienced challenges in recent years, Joe's business continues to prosper - thanks in large part to the generous referrals from clients, friends, and realtor colleagues. He firmly believes that “There’s a Good Market in Any Market”, and as a native Washingtonian (Joe was born in McLean, Virginia), he has experienced the many ebbs and flows of the market in this region.
Joe enjoys working out and is an avid runner, having completed several short distances races and his first marathon in January 2012 – ING Miami Marathon.In his spare time Joe looks forward to spending time with his family, travel, skiing, reading, and gardening.

Prior
to joining Washington Fine Properties, Larisa worked as an assistant to
real estate agents in the Washington, DC, region before deciding to
seek a degree in Interior Design. While attending school she worked
part-time at Great Street Properties in Chicago as an administrative
assistant. After graduating she returned to the DC region to work
full-time for Susan Koehler and Joe O'Hara. With a grandmother in real
estate for 30+ years and family in the mortgage business, she has real
estate in her blood and is thrilled to be a part of Washington Fine
Properties.
Education:
Graduated from Harrington College of Design in Chicago, IL, with a degree in Interior Design. She is also a licensed real estate assistant and Realtor.
